My dog seems to require so much more exercise
than I have time or can physically give.
I work long hours and worry that my dog is spending
too much alone and when I come home she goes bonkers!
My dog pulls on the leash so strongly it is unpleasant
to go for walks. At the sight of other dogs, mine goescrazy
and I'm afraid she will bite them.
Even though my dog is past the puppy
stage she is constantlychewing everything!
My dog is so restless and is always zooming around
the house, trying to get me to play fetch and tug.
So, like what happens in Day Care?
Lots of running, rompin' and rasslin'!!!
Some dogs like to wrestle, others like to chase each
other and others like to sniff and putter around watching
the other dogs and their antics.
The pups play up a storm in our playroom with much time
spent outside in our secure, fenced Barkyard where they play
chase games, sniff, dig and explore!
As well, we continuously employ positive reinforcement for desirable
behaviors (sit, recall, 'watch me', etc) while attempting to redirect
undesirable behaviors (mounting, mouthing, barking, 'gentle', etc).
One of our goals is to reinforce your training!
All of the time a pup is here at The Chewed Slipper they are
under the watchful, loving eyes of humans. Dogs are kept safe
with constant supervision!
Safety and control of our 'pack' is paramount!!!!!
DAY CARE CAN WORK WONDERS!
Even a Half Day of Day Care per week can keep a dog socialized
and mentally stimulated. For many dogs that's all they need!
For those dogs with much higher energy drives, a full day once
or twice a week can have a dramatic impact. As it is so stimulating,
the most Day Care we would recommend is three days a week!
