We are super-duper thrilled to share great news about Day Care Dynamo JACK DUNLOP: Jack has passed all necessary testing/training and is now a certified St John Ambulance Therapy Dog!
His 'wrangler' and devoted mama Brenda is understandably proud of her boy. Brenda has shared how well-behaved Jack was when he recently went to 'work' visiting with residents at a Seniors Retirement Center. She is relieved that not only does Jack NOT knock anyone down, but he is a shining example of decorum. Fantastic! Seems our favorite 'frat boy' has outgrown his nickname! How wonderful of Brenda for doing 'the work' with Jack and for taking him on these therapy sessions.
Congrats JACK! from Uncle John, Aunt Nicolle and everyone at The Chewed Slipper!

(above) MISS FREYA....this lovely girl is an example of what can happen when you socialize your dog often and EARLY. Freya began DayCare at just over two months of age. Her 'hellos' are respectful, she is submissive and all the while she loves to romp, wrestle and play. We heart this baby-faced gal!

All dogs MUST be spayed or neutered before EIGHT MONTHS OF AGE. This policy will not be waived with absolutely NO exceptions.

From January 25th until March 1st, The Chewed Slipper is collecting cash donations for The Sheila Nabb Trust Fund. As well as the donation jar in our lobby, ALL PROCEEDS from our two weekly Barkyard Socials will be donated to the trust fund. All of the donations are being monitored by Sheila Nabb's close friend Tanya Sollows of Vanity Fur Dog Spa.
It is our hope that Sheila Nabb recovers fully and quickly from her devasting injuries. Sackville is keeping 'our girl' in our thoughts and prayers!
