"Hi,
I would just like to say that The ChewedSlipper has been a blessing to me and my dog Izzie. Izzie just turned 1 yr. old and she is an extremely happy and energetic dog. No matter how much we play and go for walks, she still has energy to spare. (Even Nicole once said that she must run on batteries, haha!) So, bringing her to daycare allows her to 'let it all out.' She comes home exhausted.
Not only is the environment great for letting them run and play, but it an amazing tool in helping to socialize your dog. Izzie is a Valleybull/AmStaf mix and she will play (accordingly) with every type of breed...from Chihuhuas to Great Danes. She is fabulous on walks when we come across other dogs...and I really do feel like I owe half the credit to The Chewed Slipper. So, Thank You so much for honestly loving my dog...I know Izzie loves you to by the way she go nuts when we pull into your parking lot!!!!
P.S. Boarding was also a wonderful experience for my dog...I highly recommend it!!!!! "

"The Chewed Slipper has been GREAT for my pup! She is only a year old and has LOTS of energy... dropping her off for some daycare really beats her out and the best part is - she LOVES it! Whenever I ask her if she "... wants to go play with the puppies...?" she will go to our door and cry because she knows she is going to the chewed slipper! John and Nicole (and all the others who work there) really know how to handle the dogs and always ensure they get a cuddle when they are away from their fur- parents! They are both very passionate about animals, and that is shown in the love and attention they provide to the dogs who are at their daycare. Sometimes I think Rainah prefers being with them to me... haha...
I would recommend The Chewed Slipper to anyone looking for a great place for their dog to play, or even stay overnight. Rest assured that your dog will be the best hands possible! :) "

"River was introduced to the Chewed Slipper as a pup, when we took him to "puppy classes" with Sue, during the summer. It was a truly great experience for him, as he learned to socialize with other dogs at a very early stage in his life, and in a controlled environment. He is a "high energy" toller, and we take him to daycare one day a week. He absolutely loves to go, and he is played out every time we pick him up. In addition, he continues to get that socialization every week, which is priceless for any dog. Nicolle and John are great with the animals and the facilities are top notch.
If you love your dog and can work the Chewed Slipper into your lifestyle, Marg and I highly recommend it."

"We have been taking our dog Brewskie to the Chewed Slipper Bed and Barkfest since their opening. He absolutely loves going to the daycare, and knows Nicolle and John by name! The social interaction has been incredible and we know that when we leave Brewskie, he is in the best care. We also take Brewskie to the Friday night dog socials, where we enjoy the socializing as much as he does!
I would recommend the Chewed Slipper to anyone who loves their furkids as much as we do!"

"I just wanted to share a little story about one of our dogs and the
excellent care your Dog Centre provided us with.
Our little Eva (Pomeranian Pup) accidently ate "Rat poison" while on an
outing with my husband. After an emergency trip to the vet and her little
stomach being pumped, she was sent home with us. That night, I emailed Nicolle to tell her what had happened (as our dogs have spent a lot of time at Chewed Slipper) and asked if we could bring them in for the following day....so someone could watch over Eva while we were at work. We left Eva with John, the first day after the incident. He carried her around in his arms all day after he saw how weak and fragile she was. I think the constant human contact helped Eva recover a lot faster that day and the few days that followed. It showed me just how much the staff there cares about their "guests".
Jazz, our rottie (a big baby) wasn't welcomed at many places just
because he was a "Rotti". Nicolle had him in for an assessment by one of their trainers and determined, and I quote, "Jazz is the perfect dog!" We already knew that, but it was nice hearing it from a professional! LOL Jazz is still one of the favorites that go there. Whenever we say "Lets go to see Nicolle", they go crazy and head for the door of the truck. They come home, happy and exhausted. We know they love it there. "

I would just like to begin by giving a sincere thank you to both Nicolle and John for all their loving care and dedication that they give to all the dogs at the Chewed Slipper.
Kiwi was a very shy insecure puppy when I first brought her home. I enrolled her in puppy socialization classes in the beginning which helped her some, but it wasn't until I started her in daycare on a regular basis that I really noticed an improvement in her confidence towards other dogs and us humans. Kiwi LOVES going to the Chewed Slipper, all it takes to get her excited is for us to turn into the parking lot and then its hard to control her as she's pulling me towards the door with her little stubby tail just a wagging. When I pick her up that night I'm greeted by a very tired happy dog who falls asleep the moment she climbs into the back seat of my car.
When I went away this winter for a week I boarded her at the Chewed Slipper. John and Nicolle were awesome. We received an email update with pictures...it appears that our puppies didn't miss us at all that week, they were having too much fun playing with all their furry friends. Which was a huge relief for me to know that I would be able to leave her occasionally and she'd be OK.
I have recommended the Chewed Slipper to all my family and friends who have dogs and even strangers that I have met where the topic of 'dogs and daycare' comes up. It is a great place to take your beloved furry friend for some safe playtime with other furry friends. =)

"Luckily for us our dog Abby had been going to the Chewed Slipper for the occassional day care session and several extended stays and always loved her stays with John and Nicole . My husband recently had a hospital stay which was supposed to be 3 days and ended up being 3 weeks and Abby stayed with Nicole and John for 3 and a half weeks and it is so wonderful to know your pet is safe and happy and well taken care of especially during a very stressful event. Abby is now home with us and definitely not the least traumatized by the lengthy stay, actually probably better behaved but very happy.
I would recommend the Chewed Slipper to any pet owner. Great people , great dog center.

I just wanted to say thanks for last week . I'm a bit of a spastic dog mom and with Matt and myself away was a mess leaving the Milo with my friend Kayla for a whole week (even though she is truly wonderful). It was so great to know that you guys were there, just up the street for her and for him for exercise and fun. I know you guys offer a service and are a business - and to a certain extent, that’s what you do, but you are so much more than that!
I genuinely feel like I am dropping Milo off to family when I take him there. You are both so fun an laid back and treat him exactly how I would…love him and let him on your couch, but put him in his place when he is being a knob! I learn so much every time I am there and look forward to coming back (so does he based on the amount of pulling he does to get through the door).
I tell everyone I talk to about you guys and what a great thing you have going. I think I may start asking for a commission actually!
You take such good care of him and I am truly grateful. Thank you.
Anyway – thanks for last week…and the week before…and the week before….Matt and I are so happy to have you so close by.

"Our family is so pleased with the big difference in Zoe after attending the Chewed Slipper. Her social skills have improved greatly, all our friends that come to our house have noticed her improvements. I find she is more relaxed and calm now that she is socializing on a regular basis. She doesn't jump on our guests, she is barking less which makes our home more relaxed as well.
When she comes home from day care she is exhausted from all the running, playing and barking which means a quiet evening for us: win-win!
Uncle John tells me about all the furkids Zoe played with that day and how much fun she had, I hear she likes to hang with the 'Big Dogs'.
A sincere thank you to both Nicolle and John for all their loving care and dedication that they give to all the dogs at the Chewed Slipper, I feel very secure leaving my furkid with them and I would recommend the Chewed Slipper to anyone who loves their furkids as much as we do!"
